Good News

After returning home from Jamaica, on April 7th, we went in for a 6 week ultrasound. Darren had the day off work, so he was able to go with me. After what happened last time, of course we were nervous.

The Ultrasound Technician can't say much, but she was able to tell us there was ONE fetus that was measuring 6 weeks and 4 days (1 day off of my calculation) and there was a heartbeat! We were'nt able to hear it, due to the kind of test she used, but we were able to see the flicker. The heartbeat measured 116! Darren's first question was, "is that normal"? Again, the tech can't say much, but being I had done my homework before going, I knew it should measure between 100-150, and I answered his question.

The old wives tale is... lower heartbeat means a boy, which of course made Darren & I happy. We would like a boy since we already have 2 girls, but as long as the baby is healthy, that is all that matters!

First shot of the lil monkey ...
