Quick recap of the month:
*** Our biggest milestone this past month is that Brooke can sit unassisted (with good posture)! She will sit and play with a toy for 15-30 minutes at a time. Tummy time is still not a favorite, so I think crawling is going to be out of the question. She has also discovered and loves her feet!
*** Brooke is still a GREAT sleeper. She goes to bed somewhere between 9 pm - 10pm and typically wakes up around 7:00 am. She isn't napping as good as she used to, but part of that is my fault always having her on the go. She takes 4 or 5 catnaps that last anywhere from 15-30 minutes.
*** Brooke still LOVES to eat! As her solid intake increases, her bottle intake is decreasing, we are down to five 6 ounce bottles (at one point she was drinking 8-9 bottles). She is now getting a solid in the morning, afternoon and evening. To date she has tried... all of the "stage 1" foods and several of the "stage 2". She has also had yogurt, bananas, ice cream and Auntie's mashed potatoes. The only thing she really dislikes is rice cereal, otherwise she is a great eater! Brooke now weighs 22 pounds, 11 ounces and is wearing 12-18 month clothing and size 4 diapers.
*** Her favorite toy to-date is probably her "jumperoo", she LOVES to jump! We are also starting to introduce alot of new "learning" toys to her, she seems to be getting bored of her rattles. She seems to love all her toys, especially the ones with lights and music!
*** Brooke is reaching out for everything and once she gets hold of it, it goes straight to her mouth! She has also gotten really good at passing toys from one hand to the other.
*** Brooke goes for her 6-month doctor visit on Tuesday, May 31st.
